Norfolk-raised multi-instrumentalist and producer Tom Moore brings his new quartet to the stage for 2026. Joined by Nina Harries (double bass), Oren McLoughlin (drums), and Charlie Wheatley (harmonium), the ensemble reimagines historic English folk melodies through a widescreen, cinematic lens. Moore—whose playing has been praised as “ingenious” by The Guardian—intertwines valve-amp electric guitar and viola with dark, atmospheric drones and a heavy, groove-driven rhythm section. It is an ensemble of creative players with the technical freedom to tear this material apart and reshape it live on stage—a raw, direct vehicle for Moore’s own playing. The result is a striking balance between early music textures and modern, deep-pocket acoustic arrangements.
